Martin sells new space-saving splicer at Labelexpo Americas

  • Publicado el 31 de Octubre de 2018

Martin Automatic captured the imagination of both domestic and the larger-than-usual international presence at this year’s Labelexpo Americas with its space-saving butt splicer. This new MBS model, which features a right-angle turnbar, requires only 1700mm (67in) of floorspace in the running direction.

Speaking for the company, Gavin Rittmeyer, VP Sales & Marketing commented: “The vertical festoons offer many advantages including the ability to orient machines into unique footprints. This appears to create space for end users where they thought it was impossible to fit in automation.”

The combination of the space-saving MBS and ever-popular Martin LRD rewinder displayed at the show gave a book-end presentation requiring the smallest footprint for full-featured automation for label presses. The new MBS model on show in Chicago was sold to a key US converting customer.

Martin also premiered 1/12 scale models of its machines for various industries beyond labels. These drew a range of interesting comments and opened conversations among visitors, many of whom were appreciating the full range of Martin’s capabilities for the first time.
